Canna Oceanna Pty Ltd T/as Darma Fields was founded in May 2023 by Jacky Hong and Jonothan Chua, driven by a shared mission to redefine the standard of medicinal cannabis access in Australia. With a background in the health sector — an industry deeply shaped by regulation and compliance — they set out to be more than just a brand. Their goal was to build a company that delivers high-end, reliable products in the medicinal space, backed by integrity, science, and patient care.

In May 2025, Tanya Johnston joined the founding team, bringing deep expertise in launching and scaling regulated businesses across the health and community sectors. As a female leader at the forefront of technology in compliance-heavy industries, Tanya’s leadership is helping shape the systems and strategy needed to support a modern medicinal cannabis supply chain.

Together, the founding team launched Darma Fields with a single premium product — George W Kush, a dried cannabis flower cultivated under strict quality standards — and a bold mission:

Though still in its early growth phase, Darma Fields is rapidly expanding as a wholesale distributor — blending locally grown Australian strains with internationally sourced, compliant products, and investing in the development of a custom-built technology platform to streamline prescribing, fulfilment, and patient access.
